The latest innovation in robotic beam coping the PCS600 raises the bar for versatility, accuracy, and capability. Mounting a 6-axis robotic arm on an orbiting carrier allows the cutting head to revolve completely around the workpiece for unrestricted cutting, coping, piercing, measuring, and marking of any profile.

The unique addition of a rotary axis allows full-face access and continuous cutting. Delivering custom detailing as well as conventional cuts including FLANGE THINNING; CASTLE CUTS; BEAM SPLITTING; MITRES & SCALLOPS; HOLES & SLOTS; CUT-OUTS; WELD PREP & BEVELLING. Moreover, marking any detail like welding spec, part or job number, and mating part information directly onto the workpiece during the cutting program is also possible, reducing the costly risk of human error down the line and negating the need for a standalone beam marking machine.
The PCS600 operates with the orbiting robot and its shuttle vice all in motion. Simultaneously cutting a moving part. This makes the PCS600 extremely productive. Dynamic measuring ensures accuracy regardless of cutting position, while the beam is moving through the machine. With the innovative addition of the rotary axis, the PCS600 can not only cut all 4 sides of HSS or Beams but can also achieve complete continuous cuts on pipes up to 610 mm of diameter.
The PCS600 utilizes the latest thermal cutting technology from HYPERTHERM. Propriety software maintains an optimal cutting tip height and current control through the varying profile thickness. This ensures optimal life from consumables and superior cut quality. The PCS600 works directly from DSTV/IFC files using MetroID BeamCUT and TubeCUT software that automatically generates cutting programs with full manual editing options available on the operator console.
The PCS600 is a complete pre-fabrication line that is more productive in less space. By eliminating the need for numerous machines, the PCS600 will save considerable shopfloor space.
